What you see Located on the second floor of Sunrise Mall in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad, Fish ‘N Fun pet store has a variety of aquariums with beautiful fishes on offer. Owing to lack of space inside, we see a collection displayed outside the store too.
What you get Fish N Fun has a huge variety of fishes like fighter fish, gold fish, parrot fish (with a shade of baby pink), angel fish, sucker fish etc. Then there are those expensive breeds like flowerhorn, catfish, arowana, lionfish, tigerfish, crocodile fish and more.
In addition to fishes, the store stocks fish food and fish medicine. If you glance at one of the top shelves, you will also see beautiful plants in attractive colors like purple, yellow and green. These can be used as aquarium accessories. And if you think your fish is lonely, you can buy some of the fish toys like balls, octopus and so on. Acrylic toys float on the water and so your fish will have fun playing with them.
There are other toys such as starfish, frogs and so on which remain under water. These along with colorful pebbles can make your aquarium look beautiful. For large aquariums, these are available in bigger versions too.
If you want to take a vacation then you can leave your fish at Fish N Fun to be taken care of. The day care charges vary according to the size and type of fishes. During peak season like summer vacations or Diwali break, the charges are likely to go up due to the rush. Otherwise, you can buy a feeder which comes in different shapes and sizes, and place it in your aquarium. The feeder will automatically release a little amount of food every day and so your fish will be fed even when you are away. The feeder can be used for maximum 15 days. It cannot be used for bowls or small aquariums without adequate filtration or aeration.
When it comes to aquariums, the store has a good variety ranging from bowls to planted aquariums with natural aquatic plants, rocks, stones etc in it, to give an underwater effect. They also have marine aquarium with marine plants and aquatic fishes kept in a contained environment.
